Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity Falls In Back-And-Forth Affair Against Dublin Jerome Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity and Dublin Jerome passed the lead back-and-forth on Thursday, but eventually Dublin Jerome prevailed 7-5. The game was tied at four with Dublin Jerome batting in the top of the sixth when Robert Cope singled off of Will Kranstuber, driving in one run. Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity lost despite out-hitting Dublin Jerome ten to nine. Dublin Jerome captured the lead in the first inning. Shay Talton singled on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring one run. In the top of the fifth inning, Dublin Jerome tied things up at four. #6 hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run. Sam Wilson earned the win for Dublin Jerome. He tossed six innings, surrendering five runs, ten hits, and striking out four. Collin Hannan recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dublin Jerome. Canyon Caldwell took the loss for Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity. He threw five and a third innings, surrendering six runs, six hits, and striking out seven. Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity collected ten hits. Trent Jester, Matt Ilcin, and Cal Haefke each collected multiple hits for Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity. Jester and Haefke each drove in two runs to lead Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity. Dublin Jerome had nine hits in the game. Robert Cope and Talton each collected multiple hits for Dublin Jerome.
