The Coffman Girls Lacrosse team defeated Jerome last night by a final of 16-9 to be the champs of Dublin, having beat Scioto earlier in the year. A tremendous team effort was put in on both ends of the field. Falling down 2-0 and then 4-2 to Jerome, the Rocks dug in and went on 6-0 run to lead 8-4 and never looked back. Delaney Murray controlled the draws and the Defense set the stage by holding Jerome to its lowest goal total of the season as Summer Asad racked up 10 saves. The offense had many contributors- Annamarie Guth led all with 5 goals, Chris Owad and Elyse Gleeson each had 3 goals, Sophie VanderStoep 2, Lexi Piekarski Lauren Keating and Megan Murphy each chipped in a goal. Next up the Rocks take on Olentangy Thursday at Home.
