Committee Announces Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2016

The Dublin Coffman High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the selection of four individuals and two teams for induction into the DCHS Athletic Hall of Fame. Induction will take place on January 15 and 16, 2016, with introductions made at halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game on the 15th and an induction reception and ceremony beginning at 11:30 AM on the 16th in the Commons and PAC at the high school.
The Hall of Fame class of 2016 will consist of:
Robert Townsend—(1975) Lettered in football, basketball and baseball: won seven letters. Was two-time all league in both football and baseball.
Emily King—(2003) Lettered in cross country and track: won eight letters and was a five time individual 1st Team All Ohioan. Also named to the Jr. All America track team in the 5000m. Competed at the University of Kentucky.
Sam Stough—(2006) Lettered in football, basketball and baseball: won nine letters and was team captain in all three sports. Played baseball at Wittenberg University.
Matt Kirstein—(2006) Lettered in hockey and baseball: won six letters and was a four year starter and two time captain in hockey along with being named 1st team All OCC and 1st Team All District in baseball. Two letters and two-time Academic All-America at Penn State in hockey.
The 1992 and 1993 Boys Volleyball Teams: The 1992 team was state champion and the 1993 team was state runner-up.
We are all very proud of these amazing student-athletes. Please join me in honoring and celebrating their contributions to the great history of Coffman High School!
