Alex Berling’s big day not enough, as Dublin Coffman loses 10-2 to Central Crossing

Despite a big day at the dish from Alex Berling, who finished 2-3, Dublin Coffman  lost 10-2 to Central Crossing on Monday.

#4 recorded the win for Central Crossing. He allowed two runs over seven innings. #4 struck out two, walked one and gave up six hits.

#24, #13 and #7 helped lead Central Crossing. They combined for five hits and five RBIs.

Alex Simpson couldn’t get it done on the bump for Dublin Coffman, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

Central Crossing went up for good in the second, scoring four runs on two doubles and an RBI single by #0.

Dublin Coffman pushed across one run in both the second inning and the fourth. In the second, Dublin Coffman scored on an RBI single by Bradon Derifield, bringing home Gunner Hoak.

One run in the bottom of the fourth helped Dublin Coffman close its deficit to 4-2. An error gave Dublin Coffman life. Finally, #4 got Derifield to fly out to end the threat.

Central Crossing increased its lead with four runs in the fifth. #7 kicked things off with a single, bringing home #4 and #13. That was followed up by #0’s single, plating #7.
