17 Total Swimmers Advance To State

District Results

Both the Boys and Girls finished 3rd in the scoring. We qualified a record 17 kids (9 – boys, 8 – Girls), we qualified all 6 relays, and we have a total of 16 swims (7- boys, 9 – girls). Of those 16 swims 10 are seeded to be on the podium (top 8), 4 other swims seeded for consolation finals, and the other 2 swims are 17th & 18th. We had a record number of 4 District Champions (Eddie Michael – 50 & 100 Free, Kristyn Sabol – 200 Free, and the Girl’s 200 Medley Relay), four 2nd place finishes (Ellie Andrews 200IM & 100 Breast, Hannah Bailey 100 Fly, Boys 400 Free Relay), and four 3rd places finishes (Hannah Bailey 100 Breast, Boys 200 Medley & 200 Free Relay). Other podium (top 8) finishes included Girls 400 Free Relay, Ethan Shaw & Brendan Oshida – 500 free, Will Randal – 200 Free, Andy Shepard – 100 Fly, and Owen McQuaid – 100 Back.

To sum it all up; we had more combined district champions than any other team, we had 12 top 3 finishes out of a combined 22 events (55%), and 18 of our 38 total swims made the podium (47%). We set 9 team records (41% of our records).   Should make for an exciting State Meet!!!
